Located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Company of Rogues is a 'New York Style' studio offering professional stage, television and film training for the actor. Bringing artistry and industry together, founders Christianne Hirt and Joe-Norman Shaw and the rest of the Rogues instructors provide a variety of performance opportunities and ongoing classes. The studio is unique in its comprehensive programming and its commitment to the development of Western Canadian talent for the evolving entertainment industry in Canada and abroad.

Founded in 1993, Company of Rogues is modeled on such renowned New York acting studios as The H.B. Studio, The Neighborhood Playhouse, and The Actors Studio. Like its counterparts, Company of Rogues sidesteps the glitz and glamour, opting to concentrate on the true heart and guts of acting. All instructors are professional actors and/or directors who continue to work in theatre, television and film. Rogues offers a variety of classes year-round in flexible six and twelve-week sessions and offers full and part time programs through the Master Class Program. Check out our current classes & workshops for more information on what we have to offer.

Originally established in Vancouver, Company of Rogues opened their Calgary doors in 1996 with the mission of offering first-class training and cultivating a passion for the art of acting. Rogues' Calgary studio has also garnered the respect of industry professionals. In a few short years, it has grown from 12 students to over a hundred on an ongoing basis, many of whom are enrolled in the Master Class Program, and many of our former students have since gone on to have professional acting careers or have been accepted into prestigious national or international schools.

Company of Rogues Actors' Studio is also committed to being an ongoing resource for emerging artists to ensure their skills meet the evolving demands of the arts and entertainment industry. New opportunities continue to be provided through in-class training, Rogues Theatre, Performance and Film Intensives and other forums under the direction of working professionals.
