What is the Master Class Program?
The Master Class Program is for the serious student who desires intensive study. This 36 or 48 week program is designed specifically for people who are considering a college or university drama program, but need a curriculum that is both affordable and viable. Through one-on-one consultation, an instructor will customize a comprehensive Master Class program that meets both the student's demands as well as the demands of today's industry.
How Does it Work?
There are three Master Class streams to choose from; Basic, Part Time and Full Time. Each Master Class stream is a 36 or 48 week commitment with classes that generally begin in September and end in June or the following December. Over the course of the program, students are exposed to every dimension of actor training. The Master Class Program may include Scene Study, Meisner Technique, Shakespeare, Film and Television Training, Voice and Movement Technique, Professional Development, Performance Intensives and more. Depending on the stream they select, students will generally attend classes between two and five times per week, plus additional rehearsals.
Mentorship
Mentorship guides the actor in both the art of acting and the business of acting. Mentorship in the Master Class Program includes periodic one-on-one reviews, addressing the current strengths and challenges in the actor's training as well as guidance in the professional elements of an actor's career, seeking representation, ensuring working materials meet professional standards, etc. Mentorship takes place at the end of each 12-week session (at least 3 sessions during a Master Class Program).
